2010 Bombardment: Launch of Over 50 ARM Based Tablets

Consumer appetites have made the verdict quite clear about portable computing devices. Industry pundits say that the tablets would be the most suitable option available at the manufacturer’s disposal for the fact that they seem to narrow down the gap between small sized smart phones and medium laptops. The tablets were displayed quite belligerently at the CES and the CeBIT shows and taking that phenomenal response into consideration, vendors of MID devices look all set to blow out CompuTex. The ODM manager for worldwide mobile computing at ARM, Roy Chen, has said quite emphatically that Tablet PCs in excess of 50 are going to be launched in the second quarter of 2010 with substantial landing in the third quarter. This is concurrently going to take place with the Chrome OS launch schedule. ARM seems to be so excited about this event that it has already started to rent additional floor space. Chen has made it clear though that many of these tablets will be sent to the Chinese contingent. The Press Event saw ARM showing off two tablet PCs which included the 7 inch ComPal device. Tablet makers look all set to reveal some compelling content which will provide users with the experience of a lifetime. The touch screen facility of these tablet PCs make the whole deal more exciting.
