iPod Docks

Music is the soul of life. You must have heard this cliché a lot of times earlier, so why not one more time! But for that soul to enter your body, you need a stereo or an iPod!!! Stereos have become obsolete and a thing of the past, so let us talk about iPods now! Having mentioned that, it is not as if other devices are useless. The fact remains that iPods are the ‘it’ thing these days and have monopolized the music industry. To keep the iPods, music lovers need iPod docks. These docks are docking stations where the iPods are kept. There are plenty of docks available in the market and it is always good to know about some of the features offered by them.

The docks need not be very loud, though the sound emitted has to be upright and comfortable. Clock and Radio in the dock are imperative for the fact that time and entertainment has always been an integral part of bedroom audio. The screen is usually large in these docks and exudes bright blue LEDs. The docks with a bright screen are necessary in the bedroom as the first thing a person looks for in the morning is light so that he can have a look at the time. The light ensures that the dock keeps glowing all the time and especially when the user gets up and switches the device on.

Another type of dock would be the one with 30 Watt RMS output. The dock is a stereo system where two speakers are built in and synchronized into a black chassis of huge size. This dock would be idyllic when kept in the hall for it has the capacity to play CDs and has a video outlet also. This enables the user to watch videos through the pod. The docking station is detachable sideways and modular too. Some of the docks are innovatively designed and have toilet paper rolling over them. The speakers have been attached to the side and are moisture free.

There are some docks out there where the frequency response is phenomenal. This is great news as far as sound quality is concerned as the listener will have it smooth. The system is perfect to entertain a whole gathering and is ideal to play loud music. All these docks come with their own qualities and bring along their own benefits that make them highly endearing and play a big role in their purchasing. The iPod docks have been simply scintillating since their launch and have played a great role in giving iPods a fitting home. The iPods look phenomenal when kept on the iPod docking stations and have been very systematic in lending the devices an edge. These docks have been influential in making iPods look good and only increase their presence.

With all the factors mentioned above taken into account, it comes as no surprise that users love having these iPod docks for their iPods to increase the quality of sound.

2010 Bombardment: Launch of Over 50 ARM Based Tablets

Consumer appetites have made the verdict quite clear about portable computing devices. Industry pundits say that the tablets would be the most suitable option available at the manufacturer’s disposal for the fact that they seem to narrow down the gap between small sized smart phones and medium laptops. The tablets were displayed quite belligerently at the CES and the CeBIT shows and taking that phenomenal response into consideration, vendors of MID devices look all set to blow out CompuTex. The ODM manager for worldwide mobile computing at ARM, Roy Chen, has said quite emphatically that Tablet PCs in excess of 50 are going to be launched in the second quarter of 2010 with substantial landing in the third quarter. This is concurrently going to take place with the Chrome OS launch schedule. ARM seems to be so excited about this event that it has already started to rent additional floor space. Chen has made it clear though that many of these tablets will be sent to the Chinese contingent. The Press Event saw ARM showing off two tablet PCs which included the 7 inch ComPal device. Tablet makers look all set to reveal some compelling content which will provide users with the experience of a lifetime. The touch screen facility of these tablet PCs make the whole deal more exciting.

Ballmer Compliments iPhone: A Certain Deal in the Making?

In a move that has been termed by pundits in the tech world as the most bizarre, ace CEO of Microsoft Corp. And leading critic of Apple, Steve Ballmer praised Apple for the products that it has launched lately. He went onto to say something that came as a shocker to many that Apple was never that bad a company and has allowed people to monetize and commercialize the intellectual property owned by them. To many, it sounded Vanilla and came across as a Jolt out of the Blue. Many have written this off as a strategic decision saying that this is Microsoft’s effort to compel Apple in allying with it and putting Bing on the phone, once Apple decides to shove the deal of using Google on its iPhone. The move has sent ripples across the industry and has left many guessing about the future prospects of Apple.

Acer Aspire One 532h

Acer has a fetish for producing stylish laptops. The Aspire One 532h is no different. But then, style does not mean that the laptop becomes a runaway hit. So perhaps, defining the features of the Aspire One 532h might help in analyzing it more closely and passing a verdict would also become simpler. With a thickness of 0.99 inches and weighing 1.08 kilograms, the notebook is lighter than the average ones. The lid of the laptop has been kept glossy and given a deep blue finish with some dust like pixels. This does make it look attractive, but the performance has still not been fully explored. The keyboard has been given a chicklet style makeover and the arrow keys looked quite cramped up. Certainly not what you would expect of an Acer laptop!

The touchpad has been given a black matte finish where as the button is in deep metallic blue. The laptop has a separate scroll zone and a dual touch pad. The tiny LED indicator on the bottom panel keeps blinking. So if the computer is given a command, expect the light to blink every time. There is a troika of USB ports, one memory card reader, an Ethernet port and the D-Sub out complete the other features. Impressive! Connectivity does not suffer! The processor used in the laptop is the Intel Atom N450 with 512 Cache and the chipset is the NM10. Integrated graphics are also incorporated through the GMA3150. Visuals will again be pretty normal, as this is used in many of its competitors.

The RAM is 1GB DDR2 and the hard disk drive is 160 GB. Acer has left no stone unturned to ensure that the notebook is packed with all crisp technological features. The display screen is 10.1 inches WLED with a resolution of 1024x600, which perhaps ensures that if you watch a movie, it might give you the same experience that you get from watching a movie on cable television. But still the screen remains small, so entertainment has to be comprised upon. But the disappointment comes through the battery. This is perhaps one of the few features where the laptop lets down. The 6 cell Li-ion strip does not sustain the laptop for more than 5 hours at a stretch which at times does annoy the user.

Files can be compressed well through WinRaR pretty quickly. The speed of copying files with a size of 2GB can be done at 26MB/s. The features are good and the packaging has been done quite well. One cannot call all these features mentioned above as exemplary as other laptops too have them. But then with a price tag of Rs. 19,776 the notebook certainly does not disappoint. The price justifies all the features that the laptop comes packed with and hence, it is only appropriate that the makers deserve a pat on the back. You cannot expect the best processor with a huge display screen and all the latest multimedia features that too in a laptop priced as well as this one.

Verdict: Buy it if your usage is for normal purposes. If you are a geek and have a thing for high end technology, then you will be disappointed. But if you are a simple guy with day to day needs, this is one of the idyllic ones to buy.

Touch screen ovens provide users with the option of adjusting the temperature with their very hands. Baking pizzas, preparing superb European delicacies and other similar dishes have become effortless because of the oven. Working professionals who survive on frozen food come back and put the eatables in the appliance only to eat them hot. Since most of these are portable ovens, they are also easy to carry around. A medium sized shelf would be enough for an oven to be placed.

Ovens have made cooking easier. Their invention and eventual transition into digitalized ovens has only been more comforting over the years. People have been able to treat themselves better at home with pies, cakes and other desserts that would have been impossible to bake without these appliances.
